Volleyball Recap: Ellet Takes a Loss

If Ellet was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of North on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Orangemen came up short against the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish on Monday, falling 3-0. The Orangemen haven't had much luck with the Fighting Irish recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-8, 25-4.

Aaliyah Germany paced Ellet's offense, picking up three kills. Germany were helped by Sariyah Morris and Riley Kearns, who contributed three assists each. Kearns also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addison Lipply, each putting up two.

Ellet now has a losing record of 9-10. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Ellet didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against East on the 7th. As for St. Vincent-St. Mary, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Coventry on the 8th.
