Basketball Recap: Meadow Bridge Takes a Loss

Meadow Bridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 70-41 loss at the hands of the Pocahontas County Warriors. The Wildcats lost against the Warriors in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 62-56 score last time.

Dillon Dunz was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 25 boards for Pocahontas County. With that strong performance, Dunz is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. Another player making a difference was Trenton Brock, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Meadow Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Pocahontas County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-11.

Meadow Bridge has already played their next match, a 69-34 defeat against Montcalm on the 18th. As for Pocahontas County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 92-39 loss against East Hardy on the 18th.
