Indianapolis Lutheran is 9-1 against Trinity Lutheran since December of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Indianapolis Lutheran Saints will host the Trinity Lutheran Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Despite the defeat, Trinity Lutheran saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Reed Mellencamp went 10 for 17 on his way to 27 points. With that strong performance, Mellencamp is now averaging an impressive 17.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Schepman, who posted seven points.

Indianapolis Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Trinity Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Everything went Indianapolis Lutheran's way against Trinity Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as Indianapolis Lutheran made off with a 69-49 victory.
