Basketball Recap: Tawas Area Takes a Loss

Tawas Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to the Oscoda Owls at home by a 50-31 margin. The contest marked the Braves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tawas Area's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Oscoda, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-6.

Coming up, Tawas Area will face off against Houghton Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oscoda, they will head out to challenge Whittemore-Prescott at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oscoda is facing Whittemore-Prescott at the right time seeing as Whittemore-Prescott is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
