The Lawrence Upper Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Medina Christian Academy Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence Upper will be strutting in after a victory while Medina Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
It was a proper cat-fight when Lawrence Upper duked it out with Bedford on Thursday. The Lions came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 10-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Max Samac was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Samac was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Lawrence Upper's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 5-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Asher Davis, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Jordan Jackson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Medina Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Andrews Osborne Academy by a score of 4-3.
Derek Kruszewski and Daniel Hussey stepped up to the plate in a big way. Kruszewski went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double, while Hussey went 3-for-4 with one triple.
Lawrence Upper's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Medina Christian Academy, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-4.
Tuesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lawrence Upper has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .459. However, it's not like Medina Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .448. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lawrence Upper might still be hurting after the 18-1 defeat they got from Medina Christian Academy in their previous matchup last Wednesday. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
