Volleyball Game Preview: Somonauk Bobcats vs. Mendota Trojans + How To Watch

The Somonauk Bobcats will venture away from home to square off against the Mendota Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Somonauk will be strutting in after a win while Mendota will be coming in after a loss.

It was a proper cat-fight when Somonauk challenged LaMoille on Tuesday. The Bobcats came out on top against the Lions by a score of 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

Somonauk easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Mendota was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Hall. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20.

Mendota's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Somonauk, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.

Somonauk came out on top in a nail-biter against Mendota when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
