The Pass Christian Pirates will challenge the Poplarville Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Pass Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Pass Christian's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Kosciusko 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for Pass Christian.

They hit Kosciusko with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Amelia Coolidge (2), Adalyn Snell, and Olivia Snell.

Meanwhile, Poplarville gave up the first goal last Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Hattiesburg by a score of 3-1. Poplarville haven't had any issues with Hattiesburg recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Poplarville's victory bumped their record up to 2-4-2. As for Pass Christian, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Pass Christian couldn't quite get it done against Poplarville when the teams last played back in January as they fell 2-0. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
