Football Game Preview: Bloomington North Cougars vs. Jeffersonville Red Devils

The Bloomington North Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Jeffersonville Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bloomington North will be strutting in after a win while Jeffersonville will be coming in after a defeat.

Bloomington North took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Terre Haute North Vigo 56-0. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

John Bargen had a dynamite game, throwing for 273 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes, and also punching in one score on the ground. Rashon English was Bargen's top target, picking up 102 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Jeffersonville lost 34-12 to Floyd Central on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Highlanders: they've now lost six in a row.

Jeffersonville now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Bloomington North, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3.
