Baseball Recap: Neptune Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Freehold Boro, Neptune was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Asbury Park Blue Bishops a 13-0 shutout. Considering Neptune's hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Neptune's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Asbury Park, their record now sits at 0-3.

Looking ahead, Neptune will face off against Manchester Township at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Asbury Park, they will be playing at home against Henry Hudson at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
