Basketball Game Preview: Berea Bulldogs vs. Seneca Bobcats

The Berea Bulldogs will challenge the Seneca Bobcats at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Berea knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Seneca likes a good challenge.

Berea is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest loss since February 14, 2024 on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 94-68 loss courtesy of Greer. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (66), the Bulldogs still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seneca). They breezed by Pickens to the tune of 86-54 on Friday. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Seneca's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.0 points per game. As for Berea, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6.

Berea couldn't quite finish off Seneca in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 and fell 59-57. Can Berea avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
