Baseball Recap: Goldwater Takes a Loss

Goldwater managed to slip by Greenway the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Goldwater came up short against Greenway on Thursday, falling 21-7. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Demons earlier this season, when they won 10-9.

Parker Windom made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-4. Goldwater is 3-1 when Windom posts two or more runs, but 1-5 otherwise. Braeden Evjen was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Goldwater has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. The victory snapped Greenway's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 3-6 record.

Goldwater has already played their next contest, a 6-1 loss against Thunderbird on the 31st. As for Greenway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Shadow Mountain on the 31st.
