Softball Recap: Port Washington's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Port Washington finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They came up short against the West Bend West Spartans, falling 15-1. The Pirates have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Port Washington saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Libby Bates, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Having lost for the first time this season, Port Washington fell to 3-1. As for West Bend West, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Port Washington is set to square off against their familiar foe Hartford at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, West Bend West will face off against rival Grafton at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
