Central had to endure a 15-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They skirted past the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South Tigers 70-67. The Falcons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joshua Harper, who posted 22 points. Those 22 points gave Harper a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Quincy Taylor Ll, who earned 19 points.

Despite the loss, Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South still got an impressive performance from Noah Cross, who put up 19 points. Another player making a difference was Cayden Winstead, who scored 11 points and six rebounds.

Central's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Chesapeake Math & IT Academy South, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
