Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pisgah couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. Their defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Pisgah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa McMurtrey, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Pisgah's loss dropped their record down to 26-9. As for East Union, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 29-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Urchins beat Pisgah by a score of 12-1 on Friday.
