Volleyball Recap: Coastal Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against San Luis Obispo Classical Academy on Thursday, Coastal Christian came back down to earth. The Conquerors lost 3-0 to the Mission College Prep Royals on Friday. The Conquerors' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Coastal Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-19, 25-23.

Brooke Canaday paced Coastal Christian's offense, picking up 20 kills. Canaday got some help from Mylee Neuschafer and her 23 assists.

Coastal Christian's loss dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Mission College Prep, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coastal Christian will square off against Coast Union at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mission College Prep, they will take on San Luis Obispo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
