Baseball Recap: St. Paul Swordsmen vs. South Gate Rams
St. Paul never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the South Gate Rams as they made off with an 8-0 victory.
St. Paul let Angelo Patino and Richie Avina run wild. Patino went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Avina got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one double. That's the most runs Avina has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Marcus Munoz, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
St. Paul has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
