Basketball Game Preview: Rhinebeck Hawks vs. Millbrook Blazers

The Rhinebeck Hawks will head out to face off against the Millbrook Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Rhinebeck came up short against Ellenville and fell 46-38. The Hawks have struggled against the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Millbrook suffered their biggest defeat since February 14, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Mount Academy, falling 59-37. While losing is never fun, the Blazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 537th, while the Eagles are ranked 211th).

Millbrook's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4. As for Rhinebeck, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Rhinebeck strolled past Millbrook when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 39-25. Will Rhinebeck repeat their success, or does Millbrook have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
