Football Game Preview: Trinity Episcopal Titans vs. Benedictine Cadets + Official Tickets

The Trinity Episcopal Titans will square off against the Benedictine Cadets at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Trinity Episcopal is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Norfolk Academy 55-7. The victory was familiar territory for the Titans, who have now won three contests in a row.

Trinity Episcopal's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Deacon Skogen, who threw for 89 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in one rushing score. Davion Brown also helped with two scores in total.

Trinity Episcopal was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 207 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 172 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Trinity Episcopal, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Brown, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Deuce Mason.

Meanwhile, Benedictine faced St. Christopher's in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cadets were the clear victors by a 34-14 margin over the Saints. The win continues a trend for the Cadets in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won eight in a row.

Trinity Episcopal's record is now 9-1. As for Benedictine, their record now sits at 10-1.

Trinity Episcopal didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Benedictine in their previous matchup last Saturday, but they still walked away with a 26-21 victory. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Cadets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
