Soccer Recap: Clay Takes a Loss

Clay managed to keep up with St. Joseph Central until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Panthers came up short against the Flyers, falling 4-1. That's two games in a row now that Clay have lost by exactly three goals.

Their goal came courtesy of Evan Rider, who's now up to 15 this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Clay and nudges their season record down to 8-6-1. As for St. Joseph Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4-1 record this season.

While Clay had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
