Softball Recap: Evansville North Takes a Loss

Evansville North fell victim to Barr-Reeve and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Huskies' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lily Elliot spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Evansville North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adalyn Dierlam, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Evansville North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Barr-Reeve, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.

Coming up, Evansville North will square off against Loogootee at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Barr-Reeve, they will take on Orleans at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
