Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Takes a Loss

Sequoyah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 8-4 to the Lenoir City Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 last Monday.

Sequoyah saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that Johnson hit this season. Logan Johnson was another, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Sequoyah's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Lenoir City, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-17.

Looking ahead, Sequoyah will challenge Tyner Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lenoir City has already played their next match (against Sequatchie County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
