Football Recap: Noble Wins Going Away Against Keene

Noble entered their tilt with Keene on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over the Blackbirds. That 14 point margin sets a new team best for the Knights this season.

Noble's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mark Lapointe Lll led the charge by rushing for 50 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 130 yards while completing 75% of his passes. Another back making a difference was Logan Duquette, who rushed for 55 yards and a pair of scores.

Another reason for the win was Noble's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Tristan Miniutti and Leigh Ivey, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Keene's side was Miniutti, who picked up a sack and made 12 total tackles.

Noble's record is now 6-1. As for Keene, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Noble will square off against Scarborough at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Keene, they will challenge Nashua North at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
