Soccer Recap: Hamburg Comes Up Short

Hamburg lost against Kutztown back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hawks lost 3-0 to the Cougars. While losing is never fun, Hamburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 480th, while Kutztown are ranked 107th).

Hamburg's loss dropped their record down to 1-7-2. As for Kutztown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-1-1.

Looking ahead, Hamburg will host Brandywine Heights Area at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kutztown, they are taking a road trip to challenge Wyomissing at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
