Fairfield has gone 8-2 against Garrett recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Falcons will take on the Railroaders at 5:30 p.m. Fairfield will be strutting in after a win while Garrett will be coming in after a defeat.
Fairfield came out on top against Churubusco on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Falcons walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Eagles. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Madison Jones made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up five earned runs off nine hits. Jones was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last eight times she's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aliviah Spencer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lynelle Penrose, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.
Meanwhile, Garrett unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger. Having soared to a lofty 21 runs in the game before, the Railroaders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Ashlee Vanderbosch spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.
Garrett's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Fairfield, their record now sits at 6-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Fairfield hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.2 home runs per game. However, it's not like Garrett struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Fairfield took their victory against Garrett in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
