Basketball Recap: Kellyville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Kellyville can now relate to. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Thursday and fell 74-73 to the Holdenville Wolverines.

Holdenville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Boston Lowe, who shot 58% from the field on his way to 19 points. What's more, Lowe posted two steals, the most he's had since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Piza, who went 8-for-18 en route to 20 points and six boards.

Kellyville's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Holdenville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Kellyville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holdenville, they have already played their next matchup, a 57-47 defeat against Jones on the 7th.
