Millard North piles up the points against Lincoln Northeast

Recap: Millard North Mustangs vs. Lincoln Northeast Rockets

The Millard North Mustangs waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They blew past Lincoln Northeast 86-35 on the road. With Millard North ahead 47-20 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Millard North was led to victory by Derek Rollins and Neal Mosser. Rollins dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Mosser scored 17 points along with two steals. Rollins hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Urbanek, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

Lincoln Northeast's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marshawn Jefferson, who scored three points. Kaden Coon was another key contributor, scoring three points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Millard North's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.8 points per game. As for Lincoln Northeast, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Millard North will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Curie at 4:00 p.m. on January 19th. Curie is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Lincoln Northeast, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Allowing an average of 61.5 points per game, Lincoln East has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this contest.
