Recap: Timpson Bears vs. Corrigan-Camden Bulldogs
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Timpson Bears had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Corrigan-Camden at home to the tune of 68-7. The victory was just business as usual for Timpson, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
Terry Bussey got back to being his usual excellent self, as he threw for 304 yards and six touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 88 yards on only five carries. Chris Nickleberry was another key contributor, picking up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Timpson has yet to lose a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 12-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.09 points. As for Corrigan-Camden, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
Timpson will face off against Wolfe City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wolfe City is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Corrigan-Camden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
