Basketball Recap: Helena Takes a Loss

Helena was the 50-39 winner over Pelham when they last played one another on January 9th, but their luck changed this time around. The Helena Huskies came up short against the Pelham Panthers on Friday, falling 61-38.

Tee King was her usual excellent self, going 8 for 16 on her way to 23 points and three steals for Pelham. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which King has scored at least a third of Pelham's points. Ally Barfield was another key player, putting up nine points along with six assists and four steals.

Helena's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Pelham, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.

Helena has already played their next contest, a 47-34 win against Northridge on the 27th. Pelham has also already played their next match (against Chilton County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
