Softball Recap: Alexander Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Alexander and Laredo LBJ meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. Alexander fell 9-4 to Laredo LBJ. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Alexander saw ten different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrea Cantu, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Alexander's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Laredo LBJ, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Alexander didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 16-2 loss against Weslaco on the 17th. As for Laredo LBJ, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-4 win against United on the 18th.
