Basketball Recap: South Cameron Comes Up Short

South Cameron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Johnson Bayou Rebels, falling 69-32. Sadly, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Tarpons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 85-27 back in January.

South Cameron's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Johnson Bayou, their victory bumped their record up to 9-17.

South Cameron will host Vinton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Vinton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully South Cameron likes a good challenge. As for Johnson Bayou, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-39 defeat against Hackberry on the 1st.
