Basketball Recap: U-32 Comes Up Short

U-32 lost against Hazen back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The U-32 Raiders were dealt an 81-53 defeat at the hands of the Hazen Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Vermont basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Wildcats are ranked ninth).

U-32's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Hazen, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

When U-32 and Hazen next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. U-32 will take on Harwood and their four-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hazen will try to stop Montpelier's 13-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
