Basketball Game Preview: Wesley Chapel Wildcats vs. Gateway Charter Griffins + How To Watch

The Wesley Chapel Wildcats will be taking part in a tournament against the Gateway Charter Griffins at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Wesley Chapel had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They enjoyed a cozy 77-59 win over Sports Leadership & Management.

Wesley Chapel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was TJ Aguilar out in front who shot 55% from the field on his way to 19 points along with eight assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Trey Fitzgerald, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Wesley Chapel was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sports Leadership & Management only posted four.

Meanwhile, Gateway Charter beat Riverview Sarasota 84-75 on Wednesday.
