Baseball Recap: Elkhorn Antlers vs. Beatrice Orangemen
While Elkhorn's win against Beatrice wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Antlers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 victory over the Orangemen on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Antlers in their matchups with the Orangemen: they've now won three in a row.

Carter Haberling looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Elkhorn is 3-1 when Haberling allows two or fewer earned runs, but 9-15 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Caiden Severson was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Elkhorn's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-3 (and 6-13 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrus Mack, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
Elkhorn's victory bumped their record up to 12-16. As for Beatrice, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
