Football Recap: Wellington Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Wellington's offense. They were dealt a 41-0 defeat at the hands of the Panhandle Panthers on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 44 points in the game before, the Skyrockets' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Having lost for the first time this season, Wellington fell to 4-1. As for Panhandle, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Wellington and Panhandle will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Skyrockets see the field they'll take on Clarendon at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Panhandle, their break will end when they face Sanford-Fritch at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
