Volleyball Recap: Downers Grove South Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

It's playoff time, and Downers Grove South had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Hancock Eagles by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Downers Grove South took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-12.

Jennifer Curran paced Downers Grove South's offense, picking up eight kills. Curran got some help from Niya Mincheva and her 15 assists.

Downers Grove South's victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-8. As for Hancock, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-12 record this season.

Downers Grove South will challenge Saint Ignatius College Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hancock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
