Basketball Recap: McCook Central/Montrose Takes a Loss

If McCook Central/Montrose was riding high fresh off their 55-32 takedown of Parker last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars took a hard 56-42 fall against the Hanson Beavers on Tuesday. The loss was the Fighting Cougars' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, McCook Central/Montrose fell to 2-1. As for Hanson, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McCook Central/Montrose will take on Chester in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. McCook Central/Montrose is facing Chester at the right time seeing as Chester is stuck on a three-game losing streak. Hanson and Scotland/Menno will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
