Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran lost against Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran Cadets came up short against the Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian Braves, falling 68-48. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Braves are ranked 26th).

Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran will challenge Fort Wayne South Side at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Wayne South Side is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.3 points per game this season. As for Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian, they will take on Homestead at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Homestead likes a good challenge.
