Volleyball Recap: East Troy Comes Up Short

East Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakeside Lutheran Warriors. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

East Troy's offense was headlined by Lola Gonzalez and Rachel Kuehn, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Addison Christenson and her seven assists. Carli Murphy controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

East Troy's loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Lakeside Lutheran, their victory bumped their record up to 10-16.

East Troy has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against The Prairie School on the 27th. As for Lakeside Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Waupaca on the 27th.
