Cardinal Newman had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Cardinal Newman Cardinals who were credited with the win on Thursday. The Cardinal Newman Cardinals got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to the Pitman Pride's four. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cardinals.
