Soccer Recap: Mount Airy Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mount Airy's offense. They lost 5-0 to the North Surry Greyhounds on Wednesday. That's two games in a row now that Mount Airy have lost by exactly five goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Mount Airy and nudges their season record down to 1-3-1. As for North Surry, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mount Airy will welcome Surry Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount Airy will be up against Surry Central's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.6 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for North Surry, they will square off against Forbush at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
