Baseball Game Preview: Pleasant Valley Bears vs. Parkland Trojans

Pleasant Valley hasn't had much luck against Parkland recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bears will welcome the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Pocono Mountain East hit Pleasant Valley with a four-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals.

Kole Henry was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs. Another player making a difference was Braydon Green, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Meanwhile, Parkland came up short against Hazleton Area on Saturday and fell 4-1. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Julio Ventura made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Parkland's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Pleasant Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
