Volleyball Recap: Drake/Anamoose Takes a Loss

Drake/Anamoose managed to slip by Velva the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders came up short against the Aggies on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Drake/Anamoose was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-17.

Velva was led to victory by Brynlee Zieman and Keely Cadwell. Zieman had 11 digs, while Cadwell had eight digs and two aces. That's the most digs Zieman has posted since back in September.

Drake/Anamoose's record is now 5-9-1. As for Velva, their win bumped their record up to 16-12-2.

Drake/Anamoose does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Velva, they will face off against Tioga at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
