Soccer Game Preview: Weslaco East vs. Donna North

The Weslaco East Wildcats will head out to square off against the Donna North Chiefs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Weslaco East is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Weslaco East didn't have quite enough to beat Porter and fell 3-2. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Cowboys are ranked 162nd).

Meanwhile, Donna North kept a clean sheet against Pace on Friday. They put the hurt on the Vikings with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chiefs.

Weslaco East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Donna North, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Weslaco East suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Donna North in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Weslaco East avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
