Liberty is 2-8 against WestSide since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Liberty Raiders will be playing at home against the WestSide Renegades at 7:00 p.m. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Liberty has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while WestSide will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Monday, Liberty was beaten by Summers County 75-47.
Meanwhile, even though West Logan Christian Academy scored an imposing 62 points on Wednesday, WestSide still came out on top. WestSide snuck past West Logan Christian Academy with a 68-62 victory.
Austin Bishop continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 2 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Braxton Waldron was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for WestSide, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Liberty was dealt a bruising 84-33 loss at the hands of WestSide when the teams last played back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Bishop, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 2 assists.
