Baseball Recap: Chambers Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Chambers took on West Charlotte on Tuesday. The Cougars came up short against the Lions, falling 20-14. The Cougars' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

Noah Young Lao made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Caron Haywood, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Chambers' loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for West Charlotte, their record is now an identical 2-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Lions beat Chambers by a score of 12-6 on Friday.
