Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Hillcrest

The Skyline Grizzlies will challenge the Hillcrest Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Skyline will be strutting in after a victory while Hillcrest will be coming in after a defeat.

If Hillcrest heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Skyline took over last week. The Grizzlies came out on top against Bonneville by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. Skyline haven't had any issues with Bonneville recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Skyline hit Bonneville with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alexander Estrada, Santino Antrim, and Dennys Mendez.

Meanwhile, Hillcrest's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 4-2 to Idaho Falls. While losing is never fun, Hillcrest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho soccer rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Idaho Falls are ranked sixth).

Skyline now has a winning record of 7-6-3. As for Hillcrest, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-3 record this season.

Skyline came out on top in a nail-biter against Hillcrest when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
