The Greater New Bedford RVT Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Old Rochester Regional Bulldogs at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Old Rochester Regional took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Greater New Bedford RVT, who comes in off a win.

Greater New Bedford RVT came out on top against Case on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run second inning. The Bears took their game against the Cardinals 5-2. The game was the first time the Bears have beaten the Cardinals on their field since May 21, 2021.

The team relied heavily on Fabien Garcia, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was his first of the season. Logan Rego was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Old Rochester Regional came up short against Norton on Thursday and fell 12-9.

Greater New Bedford RVT's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Old Rochester Regional, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Greater New Bedford RVT took their victory against Old Rochester Regional in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
