Soccer Game Preview: Pacific vs. Union

The Pacific Indians will venture away from home to square off against the Union Wildcats at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Pacific is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to nine goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Lutheran South on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lancers. The loss continues a trend for Pacific in their meetings with Lutheran South: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Union). They put the hurt on Wright City with a sharp 6-1 victory last Wednesday. The win continues a trend for Union in their matchups with Wright City: they've now won seven in a row.

Pacific's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Union, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11-2.

Pacific beat Union by a goal in their previous meeting on October 2nd, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
