Baseball Recap: Medina Christian Academy Victorious

Medina Christian Academy lost to Central Christian back in April of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Knights came out on top against the Comets by a score of 9-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Caden Dyer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Medina Christian Academy is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Dyer was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Derek Kruszewski was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Daniel Hussey, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Medina Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory got Medina Christian Academy back to even at 3-3. As for Central Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Medina Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 18-1 win against Lawrence Upper on the 30th. As for Central Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Mansfield Christian on the 28th.
