Brazoswood won the last time they faced Dickinson and things went their way on Friday too. The Buccaneers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Gators 7-5. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

The team relied heavily on Kimora Quave, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in February.

Brazoswood is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-9-1 record this season. As for Dickinson, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Brazoswood is set to challenge their familiar foe Deer Park at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Dickinson will face off against rival Clear Springs at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Gators 4, the Chargers 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
